Fort Cherry Football wins back to back WPIAL titles in dramatic fashion against Clairton

Fort Cherry defeated Clairton 21-20 in the Class 1A championship game Saturday at Acrisure Stadium. It's the second title in a row for the Rangers (14-0) and head coach Tanner Garry. The Bears (13-1) were back in the championship game for the first time since 2020.
Matt Sieg threw a 13 yard touchdown pass to Ryan Huey and Nik Massey hit the extra point late in the 4th Quarter to give Fort Cherry the win 21-20.
